Dr. Jeroen Candel is associate professor at the Public Administration and Policy Group of Wageningen University, the Netherlands. In his research, he studies how governments, from local to international levels, could steer a transition of the food system towards more sustainable outcomes. He is a member of the Dutch Council on Animal Affair and, the supervisory board of the Transitiecoalitie Voedsel foundation, and frequently advises Dutch and EU policymakers on food and agricultural policy.
