Corinna Schlombs

Corinna Schlombs is Associate Professor of History at Rochester Institute of Technology. Her book, Productivity Machines (MIT Press, 2019) examines the transatlantic history of productivity technology and economic growth in the two decades before and after World War II. Schlombs has also published widely about international computing and computing, labor, and gender. Her new project is on the history of data entry typists – the “really unsung heroines” of computer automation – with funding from the National Science Foundation among others.
