Sophie is co-founder and director of Commons Network, a collaborative think thank for new economy and just transition. As a social advocate in policy, she has worked extensively at the European level and with international institutions, as well as on the national and the local level. Currently she is working on projects and proposals around democratic digital infrastructures, digital commons, degrowth and the role of governments. Together the municipality of Amsterdam and partners she is developing an incubator for the digital cooperative economy. Earlier she co-developed the vision ’Shared Digital Europe’, a policy framework for a more just and democratic online space.
