Benoît is the Secretary General of Finance Watch, the first NGO dedicated to making finance serve society. Finance Watch is a founding member of the Fiscal Matters coalition, elevating the voice of civil society in the debate around the reform of the EU’s fiscal rules and its broader economic governance.

Before joining Finance Watch upon its creation (2011) in the aftermath of the financial crisis of 2007-2008, Benoît spent ten years in the financial sector in clearing and settlement.
