Asha Allen is Advocacy Director for Europe, Online Expression & Civic Space for the Centre of Democracy and Technology, Europe Office where she coordinates the organisation's advocacy on topics related to Free Expression and protection of fundamental rights in the online civic space. She leads the organisation's engagement on the EU Digital Services Act, Directive on Combating Violence against Women and European Democracy Action Plan. Asha is a human rights advocate who advocates for the meaningful participation of marginalised groups in EU decision-making and is award-nominated policy specialist in eradicating online gender-based violence.
